Five on Five Project for April {Family photographer, videographer | Lithia, FL}

Wow, it's April already. They say time flies when you are having fun, I just missed out on the fun part! We have been slogging through Florida spring which is really the best time of year in Florida. It's full of strawberries, beautiful weather and generally little rain.

Do you have a dress up closet for your kids? Every year after Halloween I try to scour the 90% off rack plus I keep an eye out at any local consignment shops. Having a kid use their imagination is important at my house. Play, using their brains to try to concur the world and the general malarkey that ensues should be part of kids everyday life in my opinion!

For the month of march we had lots of playtime in the yard, took advantage of that one rain shower that left us without power for a few hours and other general shenanigans. The kids played hard in the yard as pirates, army guys and mud men.

All the big hard play also had the consequences of some big emotions. My son, as much as I love him comes with some really big emotions. Like yelling, screaming, drama filled emotions. They are some of my favorite times to photograph. One day he will thank me for all those pictures. Maybe I will construct a slideshow of images of him screaming at me for his wedding day toast.... Hmm, that's a good idea ;)

Love the black and white going on. My kids have big emotions too. It's good they get to run it out! Lovely work.

I absolutely love these! I'm super impressed with the last one- I have never been able to master a good motion blur image! That one is so awesome with the rain!!

Oh man, your house sounds like my house with all the big emotions!!! Except we're building snowmen and slipping on ice, not digging in the mud. I can't believe you got that picture of him screaming at you - my kids would rip the camera out of my hands - good on you! My favourite image is the one of him running through the rain. I feel like I'm right there with them, watching them play. This reminds me of our late August play time in the summer! lol! And yes, I love the wedding slideshow idea - that poor future bride!! (hahahaha!)

These are so awesome. The wedding toast idea is brilliant. "See all the screaming you did at me, so you wouldn't have to do it later in life?" haha.

I love that you captured his motion in the water too. Excellent work!

That's such a great idea - totally haunting a post-Halloween sale this year! Also, I love that last photo. So much texture and such a fresh perspective on how fast live gets lived
