Do you remember some of the big firsts of your childhood? Your first Christmas, your first big trip, your first dance recital? Honestly, I don't remember these days from when I was four years old or really even 14 years old, but I do remember the images I have from those firsts. That picture of me in the red, white and blue sparkly leotard with a shiny tiara and tap shoes, my little belly so round with childhood (well, it's still kinda round) and a huge smile on my face! I have that picture firmly embedded in the slide show of my mind. I remember the picture way more than the event.
This little four year old is like most little girls her age. Loves to play with her doll house and take her Barbies on a drive in their RV. She loves books and playdoh, stickers and coloring! She also loves to dance, just like her friends are doing. Her mom, like any good mom of a four year, enrolled her in the local dance school and when that first big recital date was put on the calendar, Mom called all the grandparents and me to make sure that this momentous story was captured for her daughter's history books.
Quiet moments spent with grandparents rock! I mean, parents love it, grandparents love it, grandkids love it! Who doesn't love it? After some light reading, it was lunch time with the family before the getting ready with momma.
Do you remember the first time you got to wear your mom's makeup? A little lipstick, some blush? Being up on the stage in the big lights means big makeup is a must!
I loved being able to capture this special with mom, daughter, and granddaughter. These are memories in the making!
What a story about firsts! First time wearing mom's makeup! First big dance recital! Being able to share these moments not only with special family but knowing that these images will be in an album on the shelf to share with friends and family for years to come! This little girl will be able to share this story with her daughter at her daughter's first dance recital!
