A day in my life {Real life documentary photographer | Tampa, FL}

School.Rye 1Home school day at Momma Got Soul PhotographyCraft time at my house I have recently jumped into the real world of homeschooling. Crazy, I know, but after seeing the high pressure kids are feeling these days at such a young age, I decided to go at things a little differently. We aren't exactly going the "unschool" way, but we are taking a more relaxed jump into kindergarten. Check back with me in a few weeks to see if all my hair has gone grey or I am bald from pulling it out!

Since I am a documentary photographer, I though I would document what our day looks like. This isn't everyday (like today my kids are sitting on the couch watching a movie while I work), but most days we start the morning off with some craft or writing work and then spend the afternoon outside.

After crafting we took our show on the road and headed out to Rye Preserve to take in some science. You know hydrology, water flow, nature. We hiked down to the creek and played in the quick sand.

"Far from day, far from night
Out of time, out of sight
In between earth and sea
We shall fly, follow me
Dry the rain, warm the snow
Where the winds never go
Follow me, follow me
Follow me"
