I remember a time when I said I would never photograph people, now that’s all I do. I think it started with wanting to explore the world and capture that to share with people. Now I want to capture people to share with the world.
You don't realize until things are gone that you missed taking a picture of them -Martha Cooper
I know I am supposed to tell you some big story about my life, the great adventures, the terrible loss, the highs and lows and struggle, but here is the thing, I am just an ordinary person. A real mom, with real life problems like too much laundry and kids that drive us insane on a minute to minute basis. No devastating loss, no huge ah ha moments. It's just a life, with day in and day out normal struggles and joys we all have. Some days are good, some days I want to drive a 9-inch spike in my ear. As ordinary as life is, it's still my life and it's special to me, just as your life is special to you. Maybe you have had a tragic loss or celebrated huge milestones, or maybe like me you just push to make it through day to day. There is beauty in simple and mundane.
My job is to take that simple moment and turn it into lasting memories. That is what is so awesome about pictures right? They transport us back in time, they trigger a memory. Try to think of memories of your childhood, how many of them are tied to a picture? It's often that physical picture that sparks the memory!
Real life pictures are like a song, telling a story, transporting you into the past. Let me write your song!
Although I am based in the Lithia and Fishhawk area, I happily photograph all over the Tampa Bay area. Documentary packages start at $425 with typical investments around $800-$2000, all packages include either an album or digitals.
